Whether you’re looking for a little pampering and relaxation or seeking massage therapy to treat pain or another medical condition, turn to Mount Auburn Hospital’s Marino Center for Integrative Health. You’ll find licensed massaged therapists (LMTs) with the skills you need.

Massage for Relaxation

Reduce stress and promote well-being with a massage intended to help you relax. We offer Swedish massage, which uses long, soft, gliding strokes to relieve muscle tension and calm your mind and body.

Massage for Healing

Take advantage of our clinical massage techniques to treat specific symptoms or health conditions.
We can help you select the type of massage that works best for your goals. Ask about:

  • Craniosacral therapy – Uses gentle finger pressure at select points around your head and spine and other areas to stimulate healing
  • Deep tissue massage – Targets painful areas with slow, deep pressure
  • Myofascial release (MFR) – Relieves pain and restores motion through gentle, sustained pressure to your body’s connective tissue, or fascia
  • Neuromuscular therapy (NMT) – Treats underlying causes of pain by applying alternating levels of pressure to muscles

Conditions That Benefit

Ask about how massage therapy can help you if you experience:

  • Arthritis
  • Asthma
  • Back pain
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Chronic pain
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Hypertension (high blood pressure)

Before Your Appointment

For the best massage therapy experience, please follow these guidelines:

  • Consult your primary care physician before getting a massage if you’re being treated for a medical or skin condition or if you experience severe skin, joint or muscle inflammation.
  • If you have a cold or the flu, please reschedule your appointment.
  • Shower or bathe before your appointment.
  • Wear loose clothing to your appointment, and be aware that some massage therapy oils stain clothing.
