Multiple Sclerosis Care
At our Multiple Sclerosis Comprehensive Care Center, you’ll find the first MS clinic in the state affiliated with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society * where treatment is viewed with optimism and the focus is on deterring its progress, treatment of symptoms, and helping patients realize their potential within the confines of the disease.
The Center is an interdisciplinary resource, providing neurological care, treatment of the basic disease process with immune modulation, symptomatic therapies and the management of acute MS attacks, neurorehabilitation, and psychosocial services.
According to Dr. Linda Buchwald, Chief, Division of Neurology: "So much can be done today to stem the progression of this disease, and virtually all symptoms are treatable."
In a single location you will find true "one stop care," facilitating coordination/communication between care teams. We individual treatment plans and evaluations are created by highly skilled providers who will determine a customized treatment plan that takes in the consideration y not only your values and goals, but those of your caretakers and family members.
You’ll can also find an understanding and supportive atmosphere offered through others challenged by MS at our weekly Evening Clinic (Tuesdays at 4:30 p.m.). To confirm locations and times for the MS Care Center Evening Clinic, please call 617-499-5014.
