As an individual, you have unique nutritional needs. At Mount Auburn Hospital, our nutrition specialist provides medical nutrition therapy for patients, those referred for outpatient nutrition counseling, and for patients of CareGroup Parmenter Homecare & Hospice. Registered staff dietitians can provide you with information to help you understand and determine your individual nutrition requirements to ensure optimal health.

Rest assured that if you are patient with us, your individual needs are carefully assessed to ensure optimal recovery. Our cutting edge technology includes a MedDietary computer system which identifies potential risks associated with your diet while you are with us.

As an outpatient, you’ll have access to referrals to Mount Auburn's Nutrition Counseling Service dietitian: outpatient nutritional counseling is scheduled through your primary care physician, nurse practitioner or OB/GYN. For your convenience, counseling is available Monday through Thursday, with flexible hours designed to meet your needs.

You can also take part in a 51-week dietetic internship that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education of the American Dietetic Association, and is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
