Mary is a 2001 graduate of the Yale University Nurse Midwifery
Education Program.
"I became a midwife because this ancient profession embodies my own philosophy of pregnancy, birth and well-woman care. I believe that pregnancy and birth are usually normal healthy processes; my role is to educate, to listen and to facilitate the birth experience that my clients desire. Whether for pregnancy and birth or well-woman gynecological care, women feel empowered when they are active participants in their health care, with the help and support of their loved ones, in an atmosphere of mutual respect. It is my goal to offer women of all ages a satisfying health care experience where quality time is spent, questions are answered, and the best evidence-based care is provided. I am also the proud mother of two young boys and am happily busy with them when I am not at work."
