Dr. William Winkelman received his B.A. in religion from Dartmouth College and his M.D. from Harvard Medical School. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California San Francisco. He subsequently completed his fellowship training at Mount Auburn Hospital / Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
Dr. Winkelman joined Boston Urogynecology Associates in 2020 and currently is an Instructor of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology at Harvard Medical School. He is board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology. His clinical practice focuses on laparoscopic and minimally invasive approaches to pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence as well as pelvic floor dysfunction.
Dr. Winkelman is had published multiple original research articles in national journals including Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery, and Obstetrics & Gynecology, and has been invited to present his research both nationally and internationally. He has authored multiple textbook chapters within the field.
